This page does not show patient testimonials, star ratings or review counts. Medical information should help you make a decision, not persuade you into one — and each patient's anatomy, goals and recovery are different. Individual results vary.
How the process works
- First message. You message Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Işık Erdal directly on WhatsApp — not a coordinator or an agency. If you wish, include photos (a front view and both side views); the photo assessment page explains which photos help. A reply usually follows within 24 hours.
- Personal review. Dr. Erdal personally reviews your photos and gives an initial assessment: your ptosis grade, the likely technique and scar pattern, and whether implants are indicated. The assessment is free and carries no obligation.
- Consultation. A video consultation covers your goals, the technique that fits your ptosis grade, whether a lift should be combined with implants, and the recovery timeline. Suitability is always confirmed by personal consultation and examination; the in-person consultation and surgical markings take place in Istanbul the day before surgery. Some people decide the timing isn't right for them, or are told that surgery isn't right for them — a legitimate outcome of a consultation rather than a failed one.
- Surgery and early recovery in Istanbul. Surgery is performed by Dr. Erdal under general anaesthesia at a JCI-accredited hospital, followed by hotel-based recovery with daily clinic check-ins. Most patients stay 5–7 days in Istanbul. The patient journey page sets out each stage and its timing.
- Follow-up. After you return home, follow-up continues through the first year, with structured photo and video reviews at set recovery milestones and direct WhatsApp access to Dr. Erdal.
Checking independently
You do not need to rely on anything the practice writes about itself. FACS, FEBOPRAS, the Associate Professor title, the publication record and the Ministry of Health health-tourism authorisation are each listed on the credentials page with a link to the issuing body's public register; training and publications are summarised on the academic profile.
